Latin@ Indigenous Student Team Orientation

In 2006 the Hispanic American Leadership Organization(HALO), now the Association of Latin@ American Students, in collaboration with the Multicultural Center began Latino Student Orientation (LSO), created to welcome first-year Latina/o/x students to campus. For the first time this year (2017), ALAS and 4 Directions Indigneous Peoples and Allies group hosted the first Latin@ Indigenous Student Team Orientation (LISTO), to welcome Latins and Indigenous/Native American students to campus. This orientation is an opportunity to connect with students of these identity groups who can assist in the transition to the Mizzou community.  LISTO is filled with fun, activities, games, and food; in addition to a resource fair and representation from different clubs, organizations, fraternities and sororities.  Incoming students also have an opportunity to pose questions they may have and gain resources, as well as a community.  If you would like more information regarding LISTO, feel free to contact the Multicultural Center.
