About DPE

Diversity Peer Educators (DPE) is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering genuine, respectful dialogue about diversity and social justice issues. DPEs facilitate interactive programs for organizations interested in gaining a better understanding of diversity issues on campus. We hope to make MU more welcoming, inclusive and safe for people of all races, ages, sexual orientations, genders and abilities.

Any student or faculty group can request a DPE facilitation. We work with Greek Life, FIGS, student staffs and various other organizations. DPEs lead the group through one of our many different programs, and then facilitate a debriefing and discussion. You can request a facilitation for your organization by clicking here.

Want to become a Diversity Peer Educator? Successful DPEs are passionate about diversity, leaders, and comfortable speaking in front large groups and answering difficult questions. All Diversity Peers must complete a semester of diversity training before they are able to facilitate programs. The training includes reading three different books over the course of a semester, and discussing those books at our weekly meetings. You can apply to be a DPE here.
